Vasomotor Symptoms Linked to Insomnia, Anxiety, and Reduced Quality of Life

This large cross-sectional study using a menopause app found that moderate-to-severe vasomotor symptoms were significantly associated with insomnia, irritability, depression, anxiety, and vaginal dryness, and were linked to lower health-related quality of life. Despite the high burden, only 17% of affected women received treatment, underscoring a major gap in care for women in late perimenopause.
