Vascular Stiffness and Fitness Differ Across Postmenopause

In a cross-sectional study of 125 postmenopausal women, the early-postmenopause group had lower arterial stiffness and systolic blood pressure and higher cardiorespiratory fitness than the late-postmenopause group. The design cannot show that stage causes these differences, but it highlights blood pressure, body composition, and fitness as important areas for discussion with a clinician.
