Meta-Analysis
Vaginal Estrogen May Ease Urinary Symptoms
This review and meta-analysis found that topical vulvovaginal estrogen was associated with improvements in recurrent urinary tract infections, urgency, frequency, urge incontinence, stress incontinence, nocturia, and vaginal pH. The findings support current guidance that local estrogen can be an effective option for genitourinary symptoms after menopause when appropriate for the individual.
