Meta-Analysis
Soy Isoflavones Reduce Mood and Psychosocial Menopause Symptoms
A systematic review and meta-analysis of 12 RCTs found that soy isoflavones significantly improved overall menopausal symptoms, with notable effects on headache, psychosocial symptoms, palpitations, and depression in perimenopausal women. While no significant effect was observed on hot flushes or vasomotor symptoms, the findings support soy isoflavones as a dietary strategy for managing the psychological and neurological dimensions of the menopausal transition.
