Intravaginal DHEA Effectively Relieves Vaginal Dryness and Dyspareunia
This systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials demonstrated that intravaginal dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) significantly improves vulvovaginal symptoms, particularly vaginal dryness and dyspareunia, compared to placebo. With mild and infrequent adverse effects, intravaginal DHEA offers a safe and well-tolerated therapeutic alternative for managing genitourinary syndrome of active menopause.
