Hot Flashes and Heart Signals Need More Study

This systematic review and meta-analysis examined whether heart rate variability differs in peri- or postmenopausal women with vasomotor symptoms compared with those without symptoms. The pooled results did not show clear heart rate variability differences, highlighting that larger and more standardized studies are still needed to understand hot flashes, autonomic function, and cardiovascular risk.
