Meta-Analysis
Hormone Therapy Risks Vary by Type
This meta-analysis found a modest overall association between menopausal hormone therapy and breast cancer risk, mainly driven by estrogen-progestin therapy rather than estrogen-only therapy. The results reinforce the need for individualized hormone therapy decisions that consider symptom severity, regimen type, duration, and personal risk factors.
