Hormone Therapy May Ease Perimenopause Depression
This meta-analysis of 12 randomized trials found that menopausal hormone therapy was associated with a small reduction in depressive symptom severity among perimenopausal women. The effect was modest and evidence certainty was limited, so treatment decisions should be individualized with a clinician.
