Cross-Sectional
Dual-Site Bone Scans Improve Risk Detection
This large retrospective cross-sectional study found that spine-hip bone density discordance was common in postmenopausal women and that hip-only screening missed many vertebral fractures. The study suggests that evaluating both spine and hip results may give clinicians a fuller view of skeletal risk in later postmenopause.
