Meta-Analysis
CBT Significantly Improves Sleep in Menopausal Women
A systematic review and meta-analysis of 11 RCTs (n=973) found that cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) significantly improved sleep quality and reduced insomnia severity in menopausal women, with benefits consistent across face-to-face, telephone, and internet-based delivery formats. These findings support CBT-I as an effective, non-pharmacological first-line intervention for the insomnia that commonly accompanies active menopause.
